Neel-Schaffer is seeking applications from qualified candidates for an aviation-focused Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering firm. This position can be based in one of our several Mississippi office locations, including Jackson, Madison, Biloxi, and Southaven.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience in aviation, airport, and/or transportation design, and be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth. You will be a part of a progressive engineering team in Mississippi and will assist teams in other locations within our company footprint as project and client demands dictate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Must have passed the fundamental of engineering exam or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
• 2 years of experience, with a concentration in aviation, airport design and or transportation preferred.
• Ability to interact and engage with clients as project needs dictate.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; proficiency in Microstation, MicroPAVER and other pavement management technology is a plus.
• Experience with pavement design and FAARFIELD design package.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
