Neel-Schaffer is seeking applications from skilled, qualified individuals for the position of Business Intelligence Analyst to join our growing engineering firm. This position will be based in our Jackson (MS) or Baton Rouge (LA) offices. The successful candidate must have relevant work experience and an aptitude for building and maintaining custom dashboards and reports using various analytic tools, along with collecting, organizing and analyzing sets of data to interpret for business use while also monitoring key performance indicators.
The candidate should have a strong work ethic, the capacity to work well with fellow employees and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
Expertise and Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains custom dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power Platform and Power BI, Excel, and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Microsoft Fabric.
- Retrieves, imports, and combines data from multiple data sources including databases, data warehouses, data lakes, cloud services, and APIs.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Creates dashboards and reports for various departments including projects, finance, and operations.
- Ensures data accuracy, integrity, and security in all analytics solutions.
- Provides training and support to end-users on how to use dashboards and reports effectively.
- Stays updated with the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and Microsoft tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics and reporting; 5 years of experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SQL Sever, and SSRS.
- Experience with databases, data warehouses, data lakes, Microsoft Azure, Dataverse, and Fabric.
- Experience with data retrieval, importation, and combination from multiple data sources.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders both inside and outside the company.
- Certification in Microsoft Data Analytics (preferred).
