COLUMBIA, S.C. (October 1, 2024) – Neel-Schaffer is excited to announce that Glenn Patterson, PE, has joined the firm as South Carolina Structures Lead, bringing more than 35 years of bridge design experience.

Glenn is based in our Columbia office, where he supports South Carolina clients and enhances our structural engineering capabilities across Neel-Schaffer’s growing footprint.

Glenn recently retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation, where he worked for 35-plus years as a Structural Engineer.

“We are excited to have someone of Glenn’s caliber and experience join our team,” said Philip Sandel, PE, DBIA, who leads Neel-Schaffer’s Carolinas Operations. “This key addition will bolster our bridge engineering services in South Carolina and provide a valuable resource to our structural engineering teams and clients across the firm.”

Glenn is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina and holds a BSCE from the University of South Carolina.
