Sparking growth for parks at the Ross Barnett Reservoir

Neel-Schaffer provided design and construction engineering services for a new underground electrical distribution system at Lakeshore Park, a recreational area on the Ross Barnett Reservoir near Jackson (MS) that is operated by the Pearl River Valley Water Supply District.

The $250,000 project provided new lighting for the park, and a sound and electrical panel at the stage location. It also included electrical panels and pedestals throughout the park.

The installation has allowed the PRVWSD to accommodate large outdoor events such as concerts, festivals, triathlons, and celebrations. The electrical facilities also make the park available to house persons who relocate with recreational vehicles during hurricanes, or other natural disasters.  All electrical circuits were installed underground.
