Kris Lightsey, PhD, PE
Engineer
Kris joined Neel-Schaffer in 2009 and has more than 10 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering.
Based in the firm’s Laurel (MS) office, Kris is a Registered Professional Engineer in Mississippi. He holds a Master’s degree and a Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Mississippi State University, and he has extensive experience in project management for wastewater collection, water distribution, drainage improvements, and roadway improvements.
He is experience in developing contracts and bid documents, preparing technical specifications, performing design calculations, and project estimates.
Kris is also experienced in coordinating with federal and state agencies for processing applications, acquiring grants and loans, and obtaining applicable permits for construction.
