ATLANTA, Ga. (January 21, 2025) – We are excited to announce two personnel changes within Neel-Schaffer’s Georgia Operations aimed at better leveraging the strengths and skill sets these individuals bring to the firm.
Justin Wood, PE, DBIA, who was recently named a Vice President with the firm, has been promoted from Georgia Structural Lead to Georgia Engineering Manager.
Hannah Prater, PE, has been promoted from Hydraulics & Hydrology Project Manager to Georgia Hydraulics and Hydrology Manager.
“Justin and Hannah have made significant contributions to the success of our team,” said Chris Sellers, PE, Executive Vice President for the East Region. “The work ethic, innovative approach and dedication to client satisfaction they have shown has been instrumental to the growth of our Georgia operations and will help us continue to expand in this area.”
Wood joined the firm in 2009 and has more than 20 years of experience in bridge design and project management. As Georgia Engineering Manager, he will focus on Operations and Business Development in Georgia.
“This is an incredible opportunity,” said Wood. “I feel blessed to have been able to work for Neel-Schaffer in the Atlanta Office since 2009. We have seen a lot of changes. We’ve grown a lot, and I have a heart for the people I work with and the State of Georgia.”
Prater joined Neel-Schaffer in 2024 and has 10-plus years of experience in H&H design and project management.
“Hannah is an incredibly organized Manager, with top-notch project management skills,” Wood said. “I am excited about her working with our engineers, assisting them with different projects but also getting them the training they need.”
