JACKSON, Miss. (December 8, 2023) – Neel-Schaffer is honored to announce it was named Employer of the Year for 2023 by the Mississippi Chapter of the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).

“This prestigious award reflects the dedication of Neel-Schaffer’s employees who actively participate in WTS activities,” said Melinda McGrath, the Executive Vice President for Neel-Schaffer’s Central Region operations. “It also spotlights the company’s commitment to WTS and its efforts to enhance the transportation sector by providing opportunities for women to advance their careers and become industry leaders.”

Neel-Schaffer was a founding member of the WTS Mississippi Chapter in 2020 and continues to support the WTS mission through event sponsorships, training, and networking opportunities. Neel-Schaffer shares the WTS mission of fostering a more diverse and equitable workforce, actively promoting the advancement of women in the transportation industry.

The honor from WTS Mississippi marks the second time in three years a WTS Chapter has bestowed Employer of the Year honors on Neel-Schaffer. The WTS Greater New Orleans Chapter named Neel-Schaffer its Employer of the Year for 2021, citing our firm’s commitment to “recruiting, retaining, and advancing women,” while noting the chapter “would like to thank you for continually supporting women in transportation everywhere.”
