JACKSON, Miss. (August 24, 2023) – Emphasizing Neel-Schaffer’s commitment to growth and expansion in the Texas market, the firm today announces Derek Cheatham, PE, is stepping into a new leadership role as the North Texas Market Lead.

Cheatham joined Neel-Schaffer in 2011 and has nearly 30 years of experience as a consulting engineer and project manager in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. In this new role, his attention will be primarily dedicated to the growth of the market in the Metroplex, taking advantage of his broad knowledge of and established relationships with the many municipalities and counties within the area.

This realignment will also allow us to refresh and invigorate our approach in Texas.”
