COLUMBIA, S.C. (August 26, 2021) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Philip Sandel, PE, DBIA, to the firm as Senior Project Manager based in the Columbia office.
With more than 19 years of experience in transportation engineering, including 13 with the South Carolina Department of Transportation, Sandel previously served as a Lead Roadway Engineer, Design Manager, and Midlands RPG Lead at SCDOT, delivering more than 100 projects to let during his tenure.
“Philip’s SCDOT experience will be a great asset to our team and will provide operational support and an insider perspective of policy, procedures, and agency expectations on SCDOT projects,” said Matt Lifsey, PE, DBIA, Vice President, Business Development for the Carolinas and Georgia. “The addition of Philip to our team will not only provide design and operational support, but it will also enhance our abilities to manage and successfully deliver projects.”

Sandel is a Registered Professional Engineer in South Carolina, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of South Carolina.
