NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 19, 2019) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Whitney Britt is the new Municipal Services Manager for the firm’s Tennessee operations.
Britt has more than 10 years of project management and transportation planning experience, including nine with the Tennessee Department of Transportation. She has managed the TDOT Local Programs Development Office the last six years, developing and writing TDOT Local Programs policies and procedures based on state and federal rules. She managed 17 grant programs utilized by local governments and engineering firms, monitored and interpreted state and federal laws, rules and guidelines, and participated in and wrote state and national case studies and reports.
While serving at TDOT, Britt oversaw 600 individual infrastructure projects, totaling over $250 million statewide, and fostered relationships with metropolitan planning organizations, elected officials, and key decision makers statewide.

Britt holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications, with an emphasis in Public Relations, from the University of Tennessee at Martin.
