BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 9, 2017) – Neel-Schaffer, Inc., is pleased to announce that Tim Joiner, PE, has joined the firm as a Senior Roadway Design Engineer, and will work out of our Birmingham office.
Joiner has more than a decade of experience in the transportation industry, as a consultant, a project engineer, and a project manager. In addition to private consulting, he worked for two years for the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. His experience as a project engineer and manager includes working with various city, county, state, and private projects. He has managed multiple multi-million dollar road design and airport projects.
“We are excited about Tim joining our firm and assisting with our transportation project management needs,” said Mary Margaret Nicholson, PE, a Vice President who manages Neel-Schaffer’s Birmingham office. “Tim has extensive experience with a wide variety of transportation projects for the Alabama Department of Transportation as well as multiple municipalities.”
A Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Alabama, Joiner holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, both from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
